Volunteering Opportunities

content_bg

‘FRP has always relied on volunteers - happy to get stuck in with collecting and sorting – whatever is necessary to keep things under control. We are eternally grateful, thank you.’ (Ian Runneckles, founding member of FRP)

Volunteers continue to be instrumental in helping FRP provide innovative recycling services to local businesses, community groups and individuals. They are involved in all aspects of our work - in collections and deliveries of paper and paint, furniture exchange, IT equipment reconditioning, providing advice, management, and carrying out valuable research. Just in one month last year, we recorded over 1000 volunteer work hours.

We are continually looking to involve volunteers who can bring enthusiasm, new ideas and a lot of energy to FRP. We believe that the different initiatives within FRP offer great opportunities to gain valuable environmental, recycling, retail, and administrative experience. The relaxed, inclusive and supportive environment has proved attractive to volunteers from socially marginalised groups, in particular to those volunteers with disabilities including ill mental health, providing a variety of pathways to employment, increased physical activity and social inclusion.

Presently, FRP has scope to involve at least 15 volunteers a day - if you would like to join our team or know someone for who might please contact Bojana on 020 8539 3856 or email. volunteering@frponline.org.uk
