Welcome, we are the
Forest Recycling Project.
FRP is a charity with environmental and social aims. We engage with organisations and communities in London through a range of practical initiatives to reduce, re-use and recycle waste, and help people live sustainably. Based in Walthamstow in East London, we have been in operation since 1989. All our work and activities are supported by volunteers.

Reclaimed Materials
Paint
Of the 320 million litres of paint sold in the UK each year an estimated 50 million litres – enough to fill 20 Olympic-sized swimming pools – goes to waste. Reclaimed paint is both an environmentally friendly and cost effective way to decorate and truly has the ability to transform your space.
Reclaimed Materials
Scaffolding Wood
We reclaim used scaffolding boards, as well as other wood from the building industry. Old boards become planters in greening projects and tables and shelving in peoples’ homes and businesses. Used floorboards are made into biodiversity boxes, providing much needed space for animals to nest.
Reclaimed Materials
Fabric
One of the biggest negative environmental impacts comes from fabrics. FRP is reclaiming fabric as part of our mission is to protect the environment and divert surplus material away from landfill and use it to inspire social change.
Get Involved
We are always excited to hear from anyone interested in volunteering or working with our organisation. We are also actively seeking out new corporate partnerships to help us further our charitable aims for the benefit of the environment and local community.
